The 2017 CA Routes

Our routes have tongue-and-check route names after bra sizes. We like to have fun and we don't take ourselves too seriously. This blog is an overview of the route options for both San Diego and Orange County (please scroll down for the OC routes).

  • San Diego Boob Ride on 4/22/17 (Sign up here)
    • A-Cup 31.4 miles with 784 (+/-) feet of climbing
      • This route has a slight change at mile 3 this year.
      • Safer intersection that veers to the right after the U-Turn in Del Mar. This new direction avoids the fast traffic going North on Camino Del Mar (Hwy 1)
      • Scenic loop around the fairgrounds.
      • Finishes at Magee Park  in Carlsbad with a rest stop and bathrooms
      • Take your time, enjoy the ride. Take some pictures.
      • Many riders dress up for this route.
    • B-Cup 46.4 miles with 1,437 (+/-) feet of climbing
      • This route can be as long or as short as you want, but you cannot go into Camp Pendleton.
      • We added this route for those last minute signups that do not have clearance into the base.
      • There is a rest stop at mile 25 going north and the same rest stop is available at mile 33 going south.
      • This is also a casual ride. Feel free to stop and on of the coffee shops a long the way.
    • C-Cup 66.1 miles with 2,234 (+/-) feet of climbing
      • This is the most popular route for the event.
      • Route Change for 2017 - Go South at the beginning and turn left at mile 3.8 ish, loop around to the Polo grounds and back to HWY 101. Last year's route was under 60 mile and it needed a little climbing.
      • First rest stop is at mile 25 at Magee Park in Carlsbad.
      • Continue north into Camp Pendleton and make a u-turn at the Las Pulgas rest stop at mile 39. This is the location where you can meet up with the southbound Orange County riders and make new friends.
      • Third rest stop at mile 53 in Magee Park.
      • This ride can be challenging and very scenic.
    • D-Cup 90.2 miles with 4,857 (+/-) feet of climbing
      • This is a very tough route and the finishers are eligible to win the Yellow Bra or Maglia Rosa Bra.
      • Route Change for 2017 - Go south at the beginning and turn left at mile 3.8 ish, loop around to the Polo grounds and back to HWY 101. This route and the Orange County 90 mile route are now very similar.
      • First rest stop is at mile 25 in Carlsbad at Magee Park.
      • Continue north into Camp Pendleton and make a u-turn at the Las Pulgas rest stop at mile 39. This is the location where you can meet up with the southbound Orange County riders and make new friends.
      • At mile 56, head inland on Palomar Airport Road. Important option - If you bit off more than you can chew and want to skip the climbing, you can go straight and finish the ride with the C-Cup route. The Elfin Forest is scenic, but the party ends at 1:45.
      • Third rest stop is at mile 63 in a new location at REV Endurance, our KOM Bra sponsor. Stop, get food and water, and regroup for the next 27 miles are the tough ones.
      • Start early, pace yourself, and enjoy the ride.

  • Orange County Boob Ride on 4/22/17 (Sign up here)
    • A-Cup 26.8 miles with 729 (+/-) feet of climbing
      • We transport up to 30 bikes and their riders to the Las Pulgas rest stop so they can do the scenic ride into Solana Beach
      • First rest stop is at mile 13 in Carlsbad at Magee Park
      • Take your time, enjoy the ride. Take some pictures.
      • Many riders dress up for this route.
    • B-Cup 38.3 miles with 2,231 (+/-) feet of climbing
      • This route can be as long or as short as you want, but you cannot go through Camp Pendleton.
      • We added this route for those last minute signups that do not have clearance into the base.
      • The route link suggests a u-turn at the Dana Point rest stop. However, you could go as afar south as the Las Pulgas rest stop at mile 35, which could make this a 70 mile loop.

      • This is the most popular route for the event.
      • First rest stop is in Dana Point at mile 17.6
